Honey

'Honey'
written by Kayley & Colin Preston
and performed by Kayley.
Educated from 1994 - 1996 at B.R.I.T
school of performing arts & Technology,
Kayley attained 4 GCSEs including
B grade in music, C grade in drama and
a C grade in English Theory.
She has been a self-employed singer
since leaving school and often in the past
could be found singing outside the Bentall
centre in Kingston upon Thames.
Also Croydon, Sutton, Crawley, Guildford,
Bromley and Canterbury.

Kayley began 'BUSKING', at the age of 17
with Crowds always forming from the

moment she started to sing. In fact

this is where we first met when I was
totally captivated by her voice.
I know its nothing to do with my Book
but I just had to add this little medley
of snippets from Kayley.
Imagine your walking through a
shopping mall and standing there in
the middle of winter, obviously freezing,
a young 17 year old girl is singing.
The first snippet made the hairs on the
back of my neck stand up.
In Kayley's words, "The act of busking,
helped me realize that people didn't
have to stop", "while they shop",
"but they did".
"It inspired me to carry on with 100%
determination", "passion and sometimes
just pure grit". "Especially in the
cold winter months".
"It taught me how to work a crowd" and
"it built my confidence ", "even
if it terrified me doing it".
"All the same", "I have loved doing it
and wouldn't change a thing".
In 1999 she appeared on
Michael Barrymore's
‘MY KIND OF MUSIC’
after being spotted, 'by Michael's
producer', while she was busking
in Kingston.

In 2001 she sung live on Capital FM
on the Steve Penk show (open mike night)
Kayley had great reviews in M8 magazine
following the release of the first
song that she wrote.
'Can You feel The Vibe'
All in All a Great Singer with a real
passion for this, her chosen profession.

An earlier version of 'Don't Say Never'
performed by Kayley.
This was the first music video that I
made. No fancy effects, but I still
like it. Kayley is great in it.
