Superkicks formed in late January 2005 after
the sad demise of popular band Undesided.
Ex- Undesided members Darren Willis
and Peter Alexander teamed up with
long term friend and ex lunar park bassist,
Chris Day, and Superkicks was formed.

The early part of 2005 was spent writing
material and searching for that missing piece
to Superkicks puzzle, a drummer.
April saw talented newcomer,
Simon Parker, join the band.
All that was left now was to rehearse
and prepare themselves for the gigs
that were up and coming.

Fortunately, Superkicks already had a large
and loyal fan base due to their Undesided
roots so the band enjoyed several
successful gigs throughout the summer.

September brought with it a stumbling
block for the band with the departure
of lead singer, Darren and drummer,
Simon. Rather than let this deter the band,
Chris and Peter took time off to recruit
new members and work on new and
existing material. 

Late October, saw Pete and Chris
announce the new member of Superkicks,
experienced drummer Sarah Dobson.
Since November the band has played
several gigs all over Kingston, as well as
venues slightly further a field, such as
Horsham at the UK Bands Launch night,
Tunbridge wells and Croydon’s Cartoon
Club.

2006, is already set to be a fantastic year for
Superkicks, Keep your eyes peeled for many
more gig dates at a venue near you soon!!
